Michael O'Shea

Managing Director

Michael joined the firm in 1994, having worked for three years in the UK. Michael has overseen the transition of the firm from the previous generation of management, including company restructuring and the relocation of premises. His responsibilities are New Business Development, staff appointments, training and Health & Safety.

Director, Estimator and Quantity Surveyor

25 years’ experience as a Surveyor and Estimator across all sectors of the construction industry.


Responsible for the Estimating and Quantity Surveying functions within the company.

Michael McSwiney

Director, Financial Controller

Michael joined the firm in 2004, having spent 30 years in the construction industry. Michael’s role includes: cost control & budgeting, management accounting, and management of the firm’s administration. Michael oversees the firms Quality Management System and BC(A)R compliance.

Christy Marshall

Contracts Manager

Christy has been with the firm since 1998 as a foreman moving on to the role of contracts manager, successfully completing the company’s largest contract in 2010 - Knocknaheeney Block D redevelopment, valued at €28M. Other projects include Tory Top Road Library ,Cork City Museum, Refurb of 66 South Mall, Keane’s Jewellers, Electric, Gurranabraher Credit Union.

Jim O'Donoghue

Contracts Manager

Jim started with O’Sheas as an apprentice Carpenter and swiftly moved to the position of Contracts Manager. He has been responsible for some of the firms most high profile projects such as Wilton Library, Mathew House, Extension of Cork Plastics. He has also delivered the Recladding of Cork University Hospital, VoxPro fit-outs @ Point Village and WaterWipes/Irish Breeze Ltd Drogheda.
